Coefficient of Friction Tester for Accurate Measurement of Static and Kinetic Coefficient of Friction

The Lloyd Instruments FTPlus coefficient of friction tester accurately measures static and kinetic coefficient of friction.  These values are of importance in a wide range of industries including blown film, plastic sheet, paper, packaging and coating manufacture. 

The FTPlus is a stand alone friction tester conforming to the requirements of ASTM D1894, ISO 8295 and TAPPI T549.  The tester is supplied with these three standards pre-programmed, with a total of ten set-ups available for custom configuration. 

When using NEXYGENPlus material test and data analysis software , the FTPlus may also be configured as a universal material tester to perform tensile, compression, flexural and other mechanical tests up to 1 kN (225 lbf).

Lloyd Instruments offers a range of affordable single column test machines for a wide variety to test applications up to 5 kN (1124 lbf).

Ideal for routine quality control testing or complex multi-stage tests, all machines can perform tensile, compression, flexural, peel, shear, friction tests and many more. Flexible, simple to use and maintain, they provide high accuracy load measurement and are capable of a rapid 8 kHz data acquisition rate. The stand alone system can store up to 600 test results from 10 programmable test set-ups or, with PC integration with Lloyd Instruments powerful NEXYGENPlus material test and data analysis software, can perform advanced data analysis.

For high force applications in the range 100 kN to 150 kN (22481 lbf - 33722 lbf), Lloyd Instruments provide a range of robust, heavy duty test machines. 

All systems are floor standing, apart from the bench-mounted LS100Plus 100 kN (22481 lbf) machine, and feature a large working area.  Simple to set up, operate and maintain, all machines display high accuracy load measurement and rapid data acquisition.
